hi there I tried a divx . transcoded it the movie was 2.01.55 in length after transcoding it reported that it was 2.01.53 so I lost 2 seconds.. the audio offset is a little big but is toterable... but codec played it. I used mediaplayer classic to play it windows media player reports it as 2.01.54 . so the time line works fine here for me ff and rew worked fine in these programs... I also built a graph using gb-pvr push source and hooked it up to the transcoded file ( as being transcode) it worked fine..
but I did not transcode at such a hi bitrate as you . i used the default 1024 and mpeg1.. since it for viewing and transcoding purpose. would think this would suffice.
perhaps your computer is running out of gas and things are being dropped. also I used vlc 7.2.2
