Anyone know why this is happening:

In gbpvr viewing an xvid video, quality is horrible, when the video goes black or low light it shows a bunch of gray squares and stuff. However when I view the exact same video in windows media player it displays perfect(same computer and monitor).

Thanks

I was using the Cyberlink, then I tried nvidia, neither made a difference. My tv recordings all display correctly it is just any xvid or divx video does it.

read this dude
i would say you need a codec
thats if overlay doesnt fix the problem or it may need both
i dont really use xvid or divx for this reason it will play good on one but not another i find it easier just not to compress

I've never had problems like this before, I have already tried a couple different versions of the xvid codec, and two different versions of divx. On my other machine with same codecs and gbpvr using vmr9 it plays xvid just fine.
