I just recently built a new computer and am trying to get GB-PVR set up on it the way I had it on my old computer.
I'm using an ATI TV Wonder Elite, and that has Cyberlink Power Cinema software included. Power Cinema is awful software though, so I wasn't even going to bother installing it this time around, I was just going to install the drivers and the ATI remote control.... which is what I did. Everything seems to operate cleanly, I can change channels without trouble, audio plays smooth, but the video remains a black screen saying "Next Recording: (none scheduled)" in GB-PVR.
I did try running BDA MuxChecker, and as it said: "NO MULTIPLEXER FILTERS WHERE FOUND ON YOUR MACHINE. GB-PVR will not function correctly unless you have WinXP SP1 or higher, which has a built-in DVR-MS mux filter." I assumed that that was the problem.
After searching the net a bit I found comments about mux filters needed, and downloaded and set up these guys so that the MuxChecker would recognize them:

It didn't work though.
I really didn't want to install Power Cinema, since when I had it on my other computer I couldn't quite get it to leave well alone, as it was constantly taking over things I wanted GB-PVR to handle........ but I gave up, and did install it, thinking that that would solve my problem and I'd live with the drawbacks, but it didn't solve the problem.
I would have originally guessed some kind of codec problem, but when I ran the Tuning Assistant all of my channels were recognized. I can see the video in there clear as day as it scans for channels, but when I head back into GB-PVR everything is dead.
I need help, I don't know what to try next.
