First of all hello all- my first post on the forum Smile .

In the process of setting up my HTPC with dual Hauppauge PVR-150s. I'm having trouble making the timeshift thing work properly. First of all it seemed to work okay- although it caused the aspect ratio to change slightly. However, every time I try it now, GBPVR stops responding completely and I have to kill it. I'm using the NVidia purevideo decoder (trial) at the moment. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look for you.

Thanks for the lightning-fast response Big Grin. I've attached the logs, it may be a channel-specific issue, since I couldn't make it happen initially (though I was getting the resizing issue- from full screen to 4:3). I restarted GBPVR and changed to the channel I was on that had the problem, and hey presto, happened again.

Cheers!

Quote:2007-05-20 02:30:17.609 VERBOSE [1] exception: GBPVR.Backend.Common.GbpvrException: No channels have been set up. Please run the Configuration utility and setup the EPG source. Use the 'Update EPG' button to force the system to import the latest set of channel and programme information.
Do you have you channel listed when you view your capture source settings in the config app? Are they enabled? If you're using a digital capture device, did you remember to do the 'map digital channels to epg channels' step?

That looks like an old error- possibly before I'd done the XMLTV thing?

But yep, the channel is listed and enabled in the 'channels' tab of the config. At the moment I've just got my single digital cable box feeding into the PC, and a USB-UIRT on order. I'm not using the GBPVR quide properly, the GBPVR channel is set more or less randomly and I'm still changing the cable channel myself.

So maybe the problem is that GBPVR really needs to be on the channel I'm actually feeding it from the cable box? If so that's simple- I'll just wait for the USB-UIRT- and sorry for asking dumb questions :o .

Yeah, I didnt notice the date. Those a definitely very old logs. They all from about two weeks ago. Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the current logs.

Okay, my bad. I'll have a dig around and see if I can find the others and get back to you tomorrow. Thanks for the help.

Okay, right now I can't reproduce for the likes of me- I post the logs when it happens again.
