I tried to empty the EPG using the "Empty EPG" button. Doing this seems to have completely stuffed my system.
I am using GBPVR v0.90.10 with XMLTVNZ as the source. and PVR350 card. I haven't changes any software or configuration since the "Empty EPG"
The symptoms are -
(1) using Config, when I try to manually update the EPG, I get a message "Your EPG spurce does not appear to be configured correctly. Please check the EPG source settings and try again"
The source is configured to point to an XMLTV file which is well-formed XML. Nothing else seems to have changed.
(2) When I start GBPVR itself, if I click on either TVGuide or recordings, the screen immediately shows a "playing back using card" and then a message box "Error: specified cast is not valid"
I am guessing that something has been corrupted in the EPG in the database. The mdb file opens OK in Access.
I don't mind losing recordings or settings so if there is a brute force quick fix to this then I'd appreciate suggestions. I'd rather not do a complete re-install if I can avoid it,
Thanks,
Andy
