Hi,

Are there any users here using GBPVR with an Hauppauge PVR 150 card here living in the Netherlands?

I still have problems with setting up the channels in GBPVR.
Using the tuning assistant gives an Connectpinns error.
I tried several solutions i found here in the Forum but none of them works. (changing direct.ini or conerting channel-setup in registry).
Maybe some other dutch users found a good working solution?

Many thx in advance

Hi, I live in the Netherlands (Eindhoven) and use the config you describe.

My Config:
AMD Athlon XP 64 3200+
WinXP SP2
ATi Rade0n9800 Pro
Hauppauge PVR-150 nonMCE

I currently experience no problems with this setup except a small one regarding aspect ratio's and ffdshow (see post elsewhere).

I installed my system last friday on an already working XP install.

- I added the Card and downloaded the latest Hauppauge drivers and installed them, i also installed their own tv application in order to verify if things where working.

- I then simply installed GB-PVR and added the card in the configuration.

- The auto tune worked first time for me but only found very few channels. So i used a program called freq2reg to create a registry file with the correct frequencies for the channels. i was lucky enough that the package that i downloaded contained a sample file that contained my exact frequencies (apparently the guy who did this was also dutch and using upc).

- I then configured xmltv and updated the epg. And set the channel numbers to the correct numbers (correspondig to former freq2reg order)

Hope this makes any sense?

I also tried to setup with freq2reg and freq2reg.
I had to change the channel-setup..but that was the easiest part.

When i put these frequencies in the registry and started live-tv through gbpvr i saw the channels i setup..but i got only a black screen?!?!!?

My card is installed correctly because when i use Wintv i can see all channels.

ffdshow is a directshow filter with some nice processing features see http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow/
But if you don't know what it is it probably is not installed [Image: smile.gif]
You can check in the gb-pvr config app if it is enabled in the playback tab (Use ffdshow post-processing options, i believe).

And i've attached my direct.ini for your viewing pleasure Wink

see: tuning problems PVR150
For the dutch version of XP:
Open direct.ini (section [Hauppauge PVR150] or [Hauppauge PVR150MCE]
Change
PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_VIDEO_IN=Analog Video In
to
PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_VIDEO_IN=Analoge Video-ingang
