Will it work in China?

Hey guys I am going to China to study the language and am trying to decide whether or not to take my PVR. My video card can output S-video and RCA.

I know the standards are PAL D there so I shouldnt have any problems... right?

depnds on if you want epg data that you can read i guess
that said it would be cheaper to just buy one when you get their if it does work

What would be cheaper? Building a new one?

depends on what you are taking the only thing you may have to buy if it works is a new tuner card
China is going to be cheap place to buy electronics
well cheaper than here NZ but i guess that depends on where you are

basically, if you can get a TV tuner card there, and can find some EPG data, probably from XMLTV, then yes it works there
