Setting a Capture Source for "watch only"

Hi

I have a Sweetspot RGB capture card which I use to watch my skybox through GBPVR using the software recorder plugin. (the only reason I do this is the picture quality is much better than I can get via the more usual composite or SVHS signal)

I dont have software encoder for this source (I actually record sky using a composite feed to a Hauppauge PVR500 card)

I there a way of telling GBPVR that the sweetspot card is a Watch only source (so that the record option is disabled for this source in the menus)
