I use ffdshow
Video out is set to exact pixel size and frame rate of the TV, the video is send trough a interlaced RGB output. In ffdshow I use the ffmpeg deinterlacer. And I use vmr9 I tried to not use deinterlacing and to tell the renderer to use field synced output but I could not get it to work. Still, motion quality is still worse compared to a HW mpeg decoder that outputs a interlaced video to the deinterlacer inside the TV. (my TV has a mpeg decoder inside that can play mpeg files from a UPnP network, but that can not skip commercials......)

yeah think of what is actualling hapening to the picture rather than just stabbing in the dark
the picture needs to match what the tv thinks it would normally get from a vdieo player other wise it just gets screwed they are old technolgy their fore when they were made they never receiveed the signal you are trying to put in you need to match the frequency match the resolution make sure the signal is interlaced it wont change a still picture but a moving picture has sync issues etc each frame has to be shown at exactly the right time with the following one filling the rest of the picture in line by line odd/even(what interlaced does) if that is out then the picture will show jerky or with lines or both ie the lines are not been shown evenly because the frequency is out so the frame rate doesnt match and plus with resolution been wrong just compunds the problem im not saying 720x576 or whatever is going to be the resolution for you but try other one than the 800x600 cause i can garentee that is not the right one i still dont know if your using pal or ntsc so i cant give you anymore info i have the same videocard (6200)ive just changed from purevideo decoder which was perfect on vmr to the cyberlink decoder version 6 seems to be better with the vmr custom

pc monitor are able to handle high resolutions they are designed to do so
tvs are not 4:3 tv is old (guessing here)they are designed for video signals otherwise every would have been using tvs as computer monitors years ago just have a look at the writing on the screen ,text etc, bits will be missing the tv cant display it the jerky picture will not be fixed if only one parameter is right you have to get them all working at the right rate frequecies(their is more than just one but the others are pretty much fixed unless you really know what you are doing and 99% of us dont) pixel matching its a bit more complex than just saying hey i tried changing that one setting and it made no difference so switched back go do some searching google about interlacing and deinterlacing what the different signals are Ntsc/pal how they all work im not trying to be rude but you really arnt getting the reasons why i could sit here and try to explain it (all be it badly ) you would be better doing some reading it helped me understand why you get jerky pan shots and gave me a better understanding what causes them and how the different signals work and why
