I don't mean to be rude but this makes no sense at all. "just the xmltv downloader i use that can be an issue." What does that have to do with old download data? It makes no sense. Delete what data?

I personally think it's pretty much fried. It's day 4 now and no update in site. My EPG is completely empty and will not update. There's something very wrong and if it is Zap2it then I'm pretty much done.

I don't see how it will magically fix itself ... after 4 days I'm pretty sure it isn't going to.

Yes that would probably work but not in this case. I couldn't get the EPG to update so I uninstalled everything, deleted the directory, rebooted and reinstalled and I still get the same error.

So upon uninstalling and deleting the dir I got rid of everything. Still the problem remains.

_Dude_ Wrote:Sounds like everyone is doing great now! :-) Too bad I'm not. My EPG refuses to update and it gives me an error everytime. I unistalled GBPvr and it still gives me the same error message.

Not only that but my EPG is totally blank! I cannot get it back. It is not a firewall issue as I turned that off and still get the same error.

It attempts to update it requests the data but when it gets to "parsing" it just crashes and gives me an error.

"Your EPG source does not appear to be configured correctly"

It has been 3 days and still won't update and gives that error [the same one of the screen capture in this post].

Ideas?

I've been getting the same error for the past three days. I keep hoping it will all start working, but so far no dice. My EPG is empty and I have no pending recordings. What should I do?

Which error are you getting exactly? I see you've replied to two EPG threads commenting you get this exact same error, but both are quite different issues. One related to getting some garbage data back from zap2it and GB-PVR not being able to process it, the other related to not being able to connect to zap2it.

Wink Ok I was getting it for 4 days then I just tried not 5 minutes ago and *BBBOOMM* up jumps the Devil.

It came through just fine. I'm truly believing what Sub has been saying is 199% correct. Just keep trying because it is Zap2it that has the problem.

Like I said after 4 days mine finally just started working again today.

A few of us have had the same problem. Just please be patient and it'll just start working. Can't explain it either...

Sorry Sub, I posted after a long night of troubleshooting and trying to read the forum posts on my tv. Obviously I wasn't reading them as closely as I should have.

I tired it one last time this morning and after suddenly after three days of trying I didn't get an error message and the guide data downloaded properly. Go figure! So to anyone else who's having this problem, I reiterate the advice... just keep trying, it seems to be a problem with Zap2It.

Well just as suddenly as it wouldn't update... now it will. Can't explain it other than Zap2it was sending "jumk" and it wouldn't work so... Here I am 4 days later and it updated fine today! Wink
