I just installed the new version, and tried to use the new UI by running pvrx2.exe. This seemed to cause my computer to lock-up. The clock in the taskbar stopped incrementing(I have it set to display seconds). However, the mouse pointer still moved, and I was able to bring up taskmanager with CTRL-ALT-DEL.
Taskmanager showed two processes named pvrx2.exe were running; one using about 8 meg of memory and 0% cpu, and the other using about 45 meg of memory and 0%-2% cpu. There was no GB-PVR UI displayed, although there was a PVRX2 icon on the taskbar.
The only way I could get my computer to return to normal was to use taskmanager to kill the pvrx2.exe process that was using more memory. If I kill the other pvrx2.exe process, it starts back up by itself. I tried stopping the GBPVR Recording service, and that killed the pvrx2.exe process, as well.
I rebooted the computer, and the pvrx2.exe process is being started automatically, with the GBPVR Recording service.
Logs attached
