I did have that problem earlier this week. All Hauppauge software is uninstalled at this point; I just double checked to make sure. Based on sub's comment about not seeing a video stream, think I may shut down GBPVR, reinstall the MediaMVP software just to test the stream. Seem reasonable or should I try something else?

I think Cheese is using the mvpmc dongle. It won't connect if it doesn't get both a gui and media connection. This can be confirmed by telneting to the MVP and issuing the command

netstat -n

If you are connected on port 6337 you have Hauppauge if you have 8337 you have GBPVR

BINGO!

Somewhere along the line the Windows firewall reasserted itself.

Just as the post pointed out the MVP now boots in about 3 seconds where before it was several minutes. Live TV is working as well as the recorded video. Also, going back and forth between live TV and the listing is working.

Do I still need to work on anything with how the DualTV card shows up in the GBPVR logs?

I'll keep testing to see if anything falls out.

Thanks you sub, Martin and User for all the quick help!

No doubt.

Thanks again for all your help. I'm so relieved to finally have it up and running. What a silly thing to get stuck on at the end! Rolleyes
