MVP Changing channels problem

I am attaching my logs below.
I started this sequence at about 16:38.

I started Live TV, it was on channel 48. I used the "mini guide" what pops up when you press the go button to change to channel 50.
I waited a couple of minutes to about 16:40 and tried to key in chennel 45. Nothing happened. I saw the MVP status light flash when I pressed the 4 and 5 keys.
I then waited until about 16:42 and pressed the up arrow to switch to channel 51. That worked fine.

During the testing of 1.0 on VIsta, several of us confirmed that the Hauppauge dongle was not working well with PVRX2 and the remote would just stop Until sub gets an answer from Hauppauge, the general consensus was that the mvpmc dongle was a little more stable on Vista.

Yep, what he said. There is a few known issues with the Hauppauge dongle on Vista. Download the mvpmc dongle from http://www.mvpmc.org/~mvallevand/donglex2a.zip, and extract the file to c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\dongle, then select that dongle on the config app's 'MVP' tab, remove the power temporarily from your MVP to force a reload.

I am using the MVPMC 7/7/07 nightly build dongle and still can not change the channel through the MVP using the numbers on the remote.

I also can not page up/down in the Recordings menu. But I can page up/down in the tv listings menu.

Use the skip keys, not blue/green.

I've had some troubles doing it by number too. I get around this by hitting the numbers and then ok.
