Hello,

I have some problems to start GB-PVR on my NMT Egreat M34A from a Network Share (when i start GB-PVR from the Network_browser it works great).

1. Network Share setup:
Share Name: TV
URL: nfs://192.168.0.1/mvpmc/
Home -> TV -> HTML (last icon) -> GB-PVR.html -> blackscreen (NMT hangs)

2. Network Browser:
Home -> Network Browser -> NFS Server -> 192.168.0.1 -> /mvpmc -> HTML (last icon) GB-PVR - kopie.html -> GB-PVR via Network Browser -> good start

When I turn on my NMT and go direct to TV (step1), then I get a blackscreen and the NMT hangs.
When I turn on my NMT and go to Network Browser... (step2), then GBPVR start good. Step 1 works now also good, it loads GBPRV (no blackscreen more - this is only I use first the Network Browser method).

Used mvpmc files: [ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

I hope someone can help my.

Regards, Hugo

Sorry I missed your post being in the wrong forum and the thread name didn't catch my eye. I don't support custom HTML and you have a Refresh command in yours.

If you want to post the http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=44302 Info will get the default html load working, your URL in GB-PVR.html. based on your post is

http://localhost.drives:8883/NETWORK_SHARE/TV/gbpvr.cgi

I'd try this syntax for loading mvpmc from an NFS share

mount -t nfs -o nolock,tcp //192.168.0.1/mvpmc /etc/mvpmc

Dear Martin,

Do you mean I have to place the HTML script, like I mentioned above, in the forum url you have mentioned? Do you known an alterative place where I can post my question?

The question regarding the mount in the gbpvr.cgi script can be handeld in this forum? I will try your suggestion and let you know the out come.

Continuing the thread here is ok, now that I've found it.

Before coming up with a custom HTML file to auto load GPBVR you need to have one working based on the GB-PVR.html format that I distribute. You have it called
"GB-PVR - kopie.html"

Try modifying
<a href="http://localhost.drives:8883/NETWORK_SHARE/VMHOST01:mvpmc/gbpvr.cgi">GB-PVR</a>
to
<a href="http://localhost.drives:8883/NETWORK_SHARE/TV/gbpvr.cgi">GB-PVR</a>

to see if that works.

For the gbpvr.cgi file try the NFS syntax above, I think it is the correct syntax.

Martin,

Thanks for quick reply.

I have changed the script to what you see.
1. GB-PVR - kopie.html: <a href="http://localhost.drives:8883/NETWORK_SHARE/TV/gbpvr.cgi">GB-PVR</a>

2. gbpvr.cgi: mount -t nfs -o nolock,tcp //192.168.0.1/mvpmc /etc/mvpmc

The load of 1. goes well, the text GB-PVR displayed correcty. When I put the Enter key on it then the screen goes blank and the NMT gives no responce. I must reboot it for it works again.

I don't have any tools to help you look on this share but you need to confirm the syntax and that that the files are there. In your script you have

rm -rf /etc/mvpmc

That would delete all the files in the mvpmc share if you had the wrong files and it will generate an error if you don't so I would remove it which might cause a problem.

If not post the output from the NMT syntax check http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=44302 and I will confirm your sharename

Hello Martin,

Herewith the output of the NMTChecker: [ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND].
I Have run the NTMchecker from two pc's. My NFS Server (vmhost01 - 192.168.0.1) and my GBPVR Server (pc-hugo - 192.168.20.5).

The output of the NTM ip and mac is different. I have checked on both machines the ip-address of the NMT (192.168.20.1).

The folder 'mvpmc' is on the vmhost01 machine and the gbpvr software is on the pc-hugo machine.
VMHost01 - Windows 2008 R2 Server 64bit (nfs share)
PC-Hugo - Windows 7 64bit (gbpvr software - joint a domain and can't run guest account or nfs shares).

I have also removed the line: 'rm -rf /etc/mvpmc' from the gbpvr.cgi script, it makes no difference.

When I run GBPVR from the network_browser once then I can also run it from the TV Share. This works only when I first run it from the network_browser.

Since you are using all the shares, I suggest using the share named DVD as your share source name. Copy our install the mvpmc apps to it. mvpmcx2 won't cross subnets easily.

Then use this in your GB-PVR.html

href="http://localhost.drives:8883/NETWORK_SHARE/DVD/gbpvr.cgi">

and this in gbpvr.cgi

mount -t cifs //192.168.20.5/DVD /etc/mvpmc -o username=tvserver,password=youknowit

Since GB-PVR is installed on PC-HUGO it sees your NMT through a bridge as 00155D000300 so this is the value you need in config.xml

Thanks Martin, this (smb share - with username password) works very well. Is there any way to start it up automatically from the beginning?

Home -> DVD -> Press Enter.
Now I most go to Home -> DVD -> Enter -> last right icon -> GB-PVR.html -> GB-PVR and then it starts up.
It would be great if we can skip all these steps.
