The old 32771 message is gone. The old 32775 message is still there and takes the virtual key codes as a parameter. You'll have to manually calculate the codes for each of your messages using the utility provide. To help you, these are the keystrokes you need to use in that utility to get the right codes.

OK, got it. Thanks.

I was sure I had already tried this but it turns out that the command I tried it on was missing a bracket, so apologies for bothering you unnecessarily.

What info do you need regarding the multiple instance issue mentioned earlier? It seems odd that something as standard as preventing multiple instances of an app should fail on some systems.

I had a bit of a play last night and the new version is working quite well for me so far. The aspect ratio problems I was having in FSE have been sorted out and recording and pausing live tv was working as well as ever. There are a few minor display issues with the UI, mainly that long text overlaps the borders in the tv guide and the mini-guide, but nothing 'show stopping'.

Thanks for all the hard work.

I cant reproduce this. A second attempt to start PVRX2 just seems to switch to the existing instance for me. If you just run it twice from the shortcut (rather than trying to use the remote) does it work correctly?

No worries, glad you like it.

I have been seeing some intermittant and unexpected aspect ratio problems in PVRX2 with FSE. Some recordings play at the wrong ratio but when I stop and restart the playback, it's okay again.

Tomper. Did you do something specific to cure aspect ratio problems?

Thanks

I was really referring to the problems I was having with FSE in the previous version which would stubbornly play absolutely everything in 4:3 regardless of the original aspect or how many times I hit F7.

I have started to notice "oddness" in the aspect ratio detection in this version under FSE. I just recorded a few minutes of a widscreen programme. The first time I played it, it played in widescreen. When I played it a second time, it played in 4:3 (I'm using a 4:3 screen).

If I start it from the short cut in the start menu or by double clicking the exe then I can launch as many instances of PVRX2 as I choose for as long as I choose. When I use the remote (GRNPOWER={run(C:\PROGRA~1\gbpvr\PVRX2.exe)}), on the other hand, then I can start multiple instances if I hit the button a few times when no instances of PVRX2 are loaded but, if one is fully loaded, then the remote does what it should (i.e. moves focus to the existing instance). Weird, huh?

Have you had time to look into either the multiple instances issue or the aspect ratio issue?

Are you sure about your first sentence in the post above? I've tried this on several machines, and using the shortcut created for PVRX2 I've been unable to start multiple instances. For me any subsequent attempts result in the focus being switched back to the first instance.

Quote:or the aspect ratio issue?
I've reread your post above, but I'm not convinced there is any aspect ratio problems or I'm sure we'd be seeing a lot more posts about it. Are you positive you dont have something else also trying to maintain the aspect ratio, like ffdshow or the video decoder itself? For example, the nvidia video decoder needs to be set to 'anamorphic' otherwise it'll try to maintain the aspect ratio itself, ending up breaking it.

Sub, for what it's worth I get the more than one instance running error too, both from a shortcut and pressing a button on the remote. This is in full screen mode but I can tell because when I quit PVRX2 in the menu another instance of it is running behind the first.

1) I'm absolutely sure

2) It must be me then because I don't have FFDShow installed and my nvidia video decoder is set to anamorphic and it's behaving as I described.
