I just picked one up cheap, so I'm going to test it in the next couple of days. GB-PVR version 0.99.12 actually has a setting for the card (Hauppauge Roslyn) in the capture source dropdown list. The trick may be getting the right driver files.

I'm going to try drivers from the shspvr.com download site.

From what I've read, that's what it sounds like. Perhaps I am at the end of the line, here. Perhaps GB-PVR just will not work with this card.

I suppose if there is anyone who has successfully run the program with this card, I'd be quite interested in hearing about it.

You might try using the graphRecorder plugin. If you can create a working graph in graphedit using this card then you should be able to use it in GBPVR. I use it for my Emuzed Angel II card that I can't get working right with the default Direct Recording Plugin.

Sorry I haven't had a chance to jump in here until now.

I looked at my ASUS card that came with my HP and it's a PVR-416. It worked just fine with GB-PVR 99.whatever...the one before the recent release...and several previous releases. When I first installed GB-PVR it was the only capture card that I had. Matter of fact, I think it works better than the PVR-150MCE cards that I also have. I was recently using its s-video input to capture from my cable box but have also successfully used its RF cable input. The only reason I took it out was to play with the zap2it replacement programs and a couple of them need a card that Yahoo recognizes (of which the ASUS does not appear to be one...). I used the Conexant Blackbird capture type. I'm running XP Pro (I nuked MCE a long time ago) and the drivers that HP supplied with the computer...they're pretty old now (dated 12-29-2005) but still seem to work (and I don't think I could find any newer ones anyway).

While I'm not a expert, if the card works with MCE, my guess is it'll work with GB-PVR. Make triply sure that all the MCE junk is stopped first (disable all the services and re-boot) and that the capture source is set up correctly in GB-PVR.
