OK, as alot of you may know, Channel 4 doesen't get an EPG in the UK using GB-PVR, it's really frustrating. But I used to just go to the channel above it and use the + or - button to get to channel 4, but that doesen't work anymore.

So I tried pressing the channel number (8) and it came up 8 on the screen but then nothing happened

Please help I'm obssessed with big brother :o

This is because Channel 4 is no longer transmitting their full EPG on the same mux as channel (which is the common way its usually done with DVB). Instead they're only transmitting info about the current show and next show.

There is a fix to get the info from another mux in the next release, due to be public in the next few days.

Are you using the current 1.0.8 release with the new PVRX2 interface? It shows listings for all channels, even if just "(no show data)" which enables you to easily get to this channel.

I am confused. I use the DVB EPG - update at 6pm each day - and I have a full populated EPG for the next 7 days - if you want to know when BB is on next Friday I can tell you!Smile
Is this problem only on the latest version of gbpvr? (I still use 99.12)

I didn't have this problem with the last release either but I had other problems that are fixed in this release

That is the old interface, not the new PVRX2 interface as I indicated in my post above. The new interface shows listings for all channels.

No, this is not related to the specific version of GB-PVR. People have had a good look at the data using utilities like tsreader and confirmed that some channels only contain the now/next listings in the current mux. In this situation, there is no listings GB-PVR.

It may vary from transmitter to transmitter around the UK though, and possibly even time of the day that the EPG update is occurring.

The next release will be capable of retrieving the listing from other muxes.

Just run the PVRX2 shortcut in the start menu instead of the GBPVR one.
