Are you channels listed, and enabled, in your capture source settings?
If you're on Vista, try deleting c:\users\<your account>\AppData\local\VirtualStore\program files\devnz\gbpvr.db3, then try again. Note the 'AppData' directory is hidden, but there if you look closely.

Hi Sub, The channels listed were enabled. I have tried deleted gbpvr.db3 file and re-do the setting again bbut same thing happens. When I was on 1.0.08 version previously, it was working fine. Then I updated the 1.0.16 version this afternoon (I actually dl the corrupt version first which auto uninstalled my working version of 1.0.08, I'm not sure whether it delete some other files which might have an effect on this problem?).

Did you delete the gbpvr.db3 file from the Vista "VirtualStore" directory I listed above? Vista a takes a copy of any files you try to modify in the program files directory, and these copies can get out of sync and cause the exact error you mentioned.
I'm sure this is the cause.

SOLVED!! It was as you said the duplicated file backed up by Vista got out of sync. But now I'm moving onto this problem (http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=28630) the live tv footage is jerky and very slow to response. I will now follow this thread, but for now just like to thank you for taking the time out to help, thx Sub.
