PVRX2.zip crash

When I attempt to run the file PVRX2.exe in the PVRX2.zip I received this error:

PVRX2 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

The Event Viewer says it is a .NET Runtime 2.0 error:

Faulting application pvrx2.exe, version 1.0.0.0, stamp 00000037, faulting module kernel32.dll, version 5.1.2600.2945, stamp 44ab9a84, debug? 0, fault address 0x00012a5b.

I used the file to fix this problem:
'No signal' popup appearing on first viewing of digital tv channel
Some users had a problem where the 'no signal' popup would appear the first time they tried to view a channel on a digital capture source. A fix for this can be found here: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php...19&postcount=7

This also fixed a problem where the OSD info popup all by itself for a couple of seconds when the show was ticking over to the next show. (PVRX2 v1.0.16)

You supposed save the PVRX2.exe file into the gbpvr directory, replacing the older file of the same name.

Thanks sub. I thought it was a patch but did not realize it was the same executable. Unfortunately it did not fix my problem but I'll keep trying.

If you are running vista you might want to check if the file was replaced at all. Vista keeps some kind of cache to put back files that were changed.
