PVRX2 and GBPVR

Hi,

Anyone out there have a clear list of what are the differences between PVRX2 and GBPVR? I have been running GBPVR (up to 0912)for half a year and has been very stable except for the reoccurance recording not able to work properly. Now I have change to PVRX2 and encountered the followings even with all those files in the survival guides installed.

1. custom task not able to show up in submenu/main menu
2. Sometime PVRX2 just crashed showing unhandle error ......
3. Submenu do not display properly if there are less than required menu in it
4. What work in GBPVR does not work in PVRX2. What doesnt work in GBPVR doesnt work in PVRX2.

Why can't we stick to GBPVR to perfect it? Probably just one last request does anyone out there have the solution for the reoccurance recording not able to show in pending for the GBPVR? Else will appreciate if someone could share with me the whole list of items and software that needs to be installed before PVRX2 could run smoothly. Thanks. :confused:

Not exactly although sub will probably know.

You can still use gbpvr.exe on your PC and also on an MVP (if you have one). As far as I know, the version of gbpvr.exe hasn't changed from 0.99.x. sub is trying to phase out gbpvr.exe in favour of pvrx2.exe - there are more future development options with it but it's still a work in progress. If you have problems with reoccuring recordings then post your logs on the forums when you have a problem.

PVRX2 is the next generation of GBPVR.exe - it's sub's goal to perfect it that way. Sometimes software development means taking a sideways step before proceeding.
