Avermedia M780 QAM

SSlusser, can you tell me all your settings for the OTA channels? I mean how can the media center software get them perfectly, and GBPVR not see them all?

I really don't have anything special for ATSC, just set it to the ATSC setting for BDA. Not sure why it is not working for you, but I really think you have a conflict somewhere.

sslusser, you mentioned that you were able to get the DVICO HDTV5 Express to work via QAM fine. How exactly were you able to do that? I have the DVICO HDTV5 USB Gold and from what I have researched in the forums so far it pretty much been a resounding "No" on getting any DVICO devices to work with GB-PVR using QAM. You are the only one so far that I have seen say that you have been able to get this to work. Any advice or instructions on what you did to get this work would be greatly appreciated! (I would think that your card and my USB one are pretty much the same except for the interfaces)

I made an entry similar to the M780, but got the filter names for DVICO using graphedit. I attached some logs if anyone wants to look.

Well, I installed my M780 today and I got a couple Clear QAM channels. But they are just the HD channels of the local networks. They are no use to me as I don't have a HD TV.

But at least I have the capability when I get to that point. I was hoping the other digital channels would be clear

Sorry for the let down. Maybe this will be an excuse to buy a new 52-inch LCD? It is nice to be able to watch prime time programs that are broadcast in HD, especially sports.

On the upside, its good to see someone else had success with the M780 and QAM. Now, if ATI would sell end users the OCUR Digital Cable Tuner, we would really be in business.

Sub, can you look at my logs again? I un-installed all Avermedia drivers and programs, and put them back.

There is no sign of the device detecting any signal in those logs.
