I even use the "FUNC" (the no label button between the Mute and Full button) for the setcursor program to move the mouse out to the edge of the screen.

Have you looked into your C:\Windows\irremote.ini file and checked to see if those GB-PVR commands listed by erikl on the previous page are there? If not, you'll have to add them in yourself and ensure that you're not using direct access to the remote via the Config menu.

I had the same problem.. but fixed with reinstalling everything..
you must install software in certain order.. because some installation overrides configuration files... such as irremote.ini and so on.. follow this instation sequence (at least it works for me) (download from hauppage) -uninstall GB-PVR -HCWCLEAR (clean old driver) -unzip pvr250_22_inf.zip -rescan hardware to find tv card and use this location to load ini file -restart computer -insatall pvr-350 (in my case) driver pvr250_22_22292.exe -install remote ir32_245_22267.exe -then install GB-PVR I have the 45 hauppauge remote and it works. (you can remap the buttons by modifying irremote.ini mentioned earlier in the thread) odbc32

If it works in the background, How do you get it to work when the screen saver is on?

Hi people
I've been using GB-PVR for a couple of weeks now and am very happy with it. There are however 2 problems that I need to fix. The remote (PVR 150 silver) works right after a reboot of the computer, but only for about a minute or 2, then it stops working. Anybody seen this kinda behavior, and have a solution? All help appreciated AD

Welcome to a small but frustarted club. Â From a win-tv 150 board:
"Do you have an AMD processor with a Nvidia motherboard chipset? i.e. the nForce 2 or 3? If so, you may be having the same issue we are all having with the 150. Here is the link to the thread I'm refering to: http://www.shspvr.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6703"

I'm running an Athlon64 2800+ on an nforce3 board so I guess I should sign up for my membership
Thanks for the link though capone It's nice to atleast know what is causing the problem, even though there doesn't seem to be a solution right now. AD

I can say I thought I had it liked on Fri. I grabbed a slightly different version of the driver (just a 0.0x version diff, part of a beta 150 package).
I also added a cron program that would start the drivers every 10min. My thinking was if they usually died after 10+ min, then starting them anew every 10 may fix it. This was if the problem was the time running for irremote.exe, and not some other activity shutting something off after 10. At first, it worked, and I got a few hours of use. Then, back to failing. I thought it was a total loss, but then it kept restarting every 10 again. It seems like it was eventually able to restart it again at some point. I only know this happened because I saw another fail later in the day. So, it almost seems like something is happening to tie up the irremote problem, and that it can eventually time out and be restarted again. I suppose I could keep after this, and try things like tellng the system to cut the hang to timeout way down, and other combos. But, for now, I'm going to see if Haup can actually come through w/ a fix. I have a limited but handy Keyspan remote that is getting me by for now.

capone: Did you try moving the card to another PCI slot like suggested at the other forum? I'd do it myself to test it, but i hate having to pull the box out of it's place cause it's in a cabinet under the TV and kinda hard to get to...
