Update EPG without using GBPVR's EPG updater?

Hi,

Is it possible to update the EPG without using GBPVR's own EPG updater?
I want to use/create a script that grabs the tvguide info from a website and immediately imports it into GBPVR on a time it suits me. My pc is not always on, and I can't really predict a time it will be on every day.

Hi, all you need to do is create a batch file that runs as a task. Somthing like:

c:\pathtoxmltv\xmltv /grab epgdata.xml
copy c:\pathtoxmltv\xmltv c:\pathtogb-pvr\epgdata.xml

Depends on where and what application you are using to get the xml. Include the epgdata.xml in setup and this should work. You need to schedule this when your PC is on of course becuase I think the "wake" function is broken in .90
