I suspect there is a subtle bug in pvrx2 someplace in this area but it might be hard to get from the logs since nothing dies.

For me since my epg is a bit flaky I often find it is not complete when loaded into pvrx2. Often I can see programmes listed with (No Detail) against them or there is detail but when I exit and restart pvrx2, the refresh causes the (No Detail) to be displayed.

I regularly clean out the epg and load it afresh thinking that will clean things up but it doesn't.

sub Wrote:Yeah, post the logs with the details of what the show was and what time it recorded. I cant do anything without the logs.

Just happened with the show I recorded at Saturday, September 08, 2007
2:20 PM - 3:20 PM. Attaching logs.

Added the show to be recorded from the tv-guid a couple of hours before it was aired.

Hope you can make something out it it Sub.

TIA.

I just noticed the same thing. Programme was scheduled from the Guide and when it was recorded pvrx2 said it was a manual recording. Logs also attached but nothing interesting in them (well to me anyway).

Interestingly there was a programme that ended just before this one that was recorded okay and noted okay.

I think I found the cause of this a few days ago, but unfortunately my build has moved on a bit, so I'm not 100% sure if I can supply a patch.

You can try the attached, but I suggest you backup your GB-PVR directory before hand just in case...

Thanks sub, will give it a try but do the backup as you suggested. It's not a show stopper since the show is still recorded and I can wait till the next build to have it fixed. Also since it seems random, it's going to be hard to test

(BTW, the patch may also enable Net Radio and OSD buttons during playback)

Just noticed something else; if I reboot the machine and set up to record a show from the TV-guide, it works, ie a red marking in the guide. No problem at all in fact.

Could it be some kind glitch in the pvrx2-executable or database maybe?
