I have an old Hauppauge WinTV card and have successfully got it working with GB-PVR by editing direct.ini as shown below:

Do you know what card it is exactly?

Does it manage to record, or only works for live tv?

It's Hauppauge WinTV PCI (Hauppauge WinTV 878/9). I've only tried watching live tv so far as it's what I use for my VCR. I'll set it up with an aerial and try recording and let you know!

I suspect you'll find you cant record, or pause live tv etc. Sorry.

Yeah Sub, you're right... It wouldn't have recorded sound anyway 'cos that's just a physical pass through via the line out/line in connections, but it's OK to use to watch my VCR and I have the Avermedia DVB for live TV and recordings, so it's all good!
