I've just received my HVR1300 card which I've installed in my machine and also installed the drivers for it. I have connected My sky box via the composite input of the card. I then setup the capture source with one manually added channel.

Now when I start GBPVR.exe and navigate to livetv, I get a blank screen for about 2 seconds after which the application crashes. I then dismiss the dialog box by clicking "Don't Send".

I then tried the same but with PVRX2.exe and it works absolutely fine - no craches. But I prefer to use GBPVR.exe as I get tearing in the video(livetv, dvd, recordings playback) when using PVRX2.exe as it uses VMR9.

I then searched within the GBPVRnative log file and one of the last entries in it is "FindFilterByName failed to locate filter: Enable pass-through". I then went into the Misc tab of config and unchecked the "live preview if possible". Now when I start GBPVR.exe and launch livetv it starts in timeshifting mode and works without any issues. But I would really like to get live preview working as I don't want it to keep recording all the time. I also tried selecting "None" in the Deinterlace dropdown keeping the live preview on. This time i get video with the interlace lines, but no audio.

I'm attaching the log files in this email for any of you who would like to have a look. Also, just to mention, when I check the Event viewer, i get the following error registered:

Quote:.NET Runtime 2.0 Error

Faulting application gbpvr.exe, version 1.0.2782.16263, stamp 00000026, faulting module atimcenc.dll, version 9.14.0.60829, stamp 462e53a3, debug? 0, fault address 0x00063054.

Please help

'atimcenc.dll' sounds like ATI driver file to me, so I'd guess its something to do with the ATI drivers, or maybe the decoders. Maybe something to do with the 'Realtek HDA HDMI Out' audio renderer you're using. See if using a different audio renderer helps.

In general, about the only GB-PVR settings you could tweak that might help and the audio/video decoders and/or audio renderer. Other than this your might need to look for different versions of the ATI drivers.

Many thanks for the reply. I need to use the HDMI audio renderer in order to get the sound on my tele. I've connected my pc to my tele via HDMI. In any case changing this to any other renderer gives me the same result - GBPVR.exe crashes.

Also, I have the latest ATI drivers installed which I downloaded from the website.

What puzzles me is who does live preview work in PVRX2.exe without any problems.

Any ideas/help greatly appreciated.
