I have been quite happy with the video output from my Haupauge 350 using GBPVR. TV is just a standard cathode ray flat screen. As PVRX2 no longer supports the 350s onboard output, I've been experimenting with outputing to my TV with my Radeon 7000. I don't think any amount of tweaking is going to make it look as good as my pvr350. The image can either be overscanned, so that some of the picture is croped, or underscanned, which does not display in a clean looking rectangular form, the right edge is wavy. Also I don't have enough processing power to run the video smoothly, though I haven't tried FSE mode yet.

Does anyone have plans to create a patch or plug-in to support the 350s output with PVRX2? What affordable cards have high quality standard-TV output?

I think it is unlikely that a patch will be released to support the tv out on the 350

IIRC sub spent many hours trying to get the tv out on the 350 to work reliably - some people had no problems, others (inc me) never managed to. I experienced the same with myth so not a gbpvr issue...

After a bit of tweaking I get good results with my graphics card (see sig), I have to say the quality on the wMVP is noticably better though

I wasn't happy with the output of my ATI Radeon 7000 (I could see tearing on even basic motion), and that was before PVRX2. I bit the bullet and picked up an ATI Radeon 9550 for not too much money, and it does the job very well. Either the 7000 didn't provide enough processing power, memory bandwidth, or not enough MPEG-2 decode assist.

Sorry, I wont be adding PVR350 tv out support to PVRX2.
