I was trying to install the latest build of EWA and the schedule direct utility. I downloaded the EWA files to the gbpvr\web directory and after I checked that all the files were in the right place, I downloaded the schedules direct utility tot the gbpvr directory. I modified the postprocessingEPG.bat file as directed. At that point, Windows advised me that it was going to configure GBpvr.exe. That didn't sound good but since neither the config panel nor the program would work , I let windows try. It couldn't find the ".msi" file so I went the web page and tried to repair or modify the program (since pvrx2 was working perfectly yesterday, I assumed I didn't need to reinstall the vcrest program. Neither the repair nor modification would work: I received error "1334" which stated it could not install "download.ashx" because it was not found in the "cabinet" cabs.w1.cab
The next thing I tried was try to restore my computer to yesterday before I downloaded the two plugins, but the program still exists. I also dound the 7 files associcated with chedules direct utility and moved them to a subdirectory of gpvpr\plugins.
Can anyone help me, or at least guess what I might have down to ruin my installation? [ I will edit in a moment to post my logs]. I am using 1.0.16
p.s. I found download.ashx in gbpvr\web\public. Should I move it somewhere? (I don't know what a cabinet is, unless it is a folder) and I don't have a folder called cabs.w1.cab. Or, should I let windows reconfigure gbpvr by using the browse feature to show windows where the file is?
I undid my system restore and tried to repair gbpvr by reinstalling. Everything is working as well again.
