When setting a manual recording, only channel name shows - no channel #

This makes it extremely hard to manually schedule a recording. My local TV guide doesn't list the channel name like the TV listings do, so I have to almost guess - not very user friendly.

Cannot this be changed?? Otherwise,forget a manual recording! Also, the recordings I made with 99.12 show the call sign AND the channel - neither of the 1.0.16 versions show the channel # - just the "I have no frigging idea what channel this is" call sign!

Have you played with the <ChannelHeaderType> value in config.xml? A value of 1 is supposed to display channel numbers and names.

Yeah - it was set to 3 (on a clean install) - I changed it to 1 and now get call sign and number in the guide, but NOT when trying to set up a manual record!

I've been trying to standardize the way the channel name is stored. Up until recently, the US and Canada always had the channel number as part of the name, while the rest of the world did not. This caused lots of headaches - there are many places I would like to have shown the channel number and the channel name next to each other but I couldnt because in the US and Canada you'd have seen the channel number next to the channel number next to the channel name. Argh!

Now that most people have a channel number without the channel number embbeded I'll soon start showing the channel number next to the channel name in lots of places in the app (like in the manual recording popup). This will of course be a matter of great annoyance to those that still have the old style of names US/Canada channel names, but you cant please everybody.
