I've no been able to reproduce this. Everytime I double click the PVRX2.exe icon in Windows Explorer, or using the shortcut created by the GB-PVR install, it just returns focus to the existing running version. Do these two specific examples start multiple instances for you?
it will launch multiple instance from both the taskbar icon being right clik and from clicking the icon in programs and also from the shortcut on my desktop i use for fse.
Thanks, trying it now. I find that the issue of multiple versions usually kicks in coming in and out of hibernate though so not sure this will help with that issue as I believe that's an internal process sub uses to quickly restart pvrx2.exe.
Sub - in case it helps, the behaviour I'm seeing it that after using the FSE mode hiberante quick restart you built into 1.0.16, sometimes I've got 2 pvrx2.exe processes running. Then because the inactive one is on top it looks like my remote isn't working. Pressing F4 to shut that one down brings the version that is active to the front and so the remote "starts" working again.
Sinse a week or so, I experience the same thing, but not only when comming out of hibernate, but always.
I have both GBPVRTray and PVRX2 in the startup Start menu. If I remove them nothing happens - ie there is no other "hidden" startup. if I paste the skortcuts back, reboot and then I have double tray processes and double PVRX2 processes.
If I use these shortcuts to manually launch the tools, they come up with single processes.
