I have gbpvr working fine on the server but it has issues when using the mvp.

Known Issues...
1. after 2 seconds of live tv it locks up.
2. after stopping video it locks up.
3. during playback when I press skip it skips 30 mins and then I cannot fast forward or skip again.
4. Com skip isnt working thru mvp but fine on the server.

I am using a new wired MVP "H3".

Any ideas.

I have already reinstalled gbpvr once.

TIA!

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Sorry, but it's missing the bit of info I was looking for in those logs. Can you try again, but this time enable log flushing in the config app?

The logs seem to indicate the MVP server is only getting one of the two connections it needs. It gets the connection that manages the screen updates and remote control, but not the connection that streams video.

Given you indicated that your saw some video, this makes me think your must still be running one of the two Hauppauge MVP services.

I'd take a really good look at what is installed. I just double checked all your GB-PVR MVP server logs, and there is no sign of the media streaming ever getting a connection, or supplying any data. Since you are seeing some video, I'm sure you must have something else running that is handling media streaming.

In the Windows task manager do you see any processes running with "MVP" in their name?

The symptoms you describe above is consistent with what people usually get when they leave one of the Hauppauge MVP services running.
