It should just work if you point an IIS virtual directory at c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\web.

You'll also need to make sure the IIS user has full read right permissions to the GB-PVR directory (since the access database is just a file which read/write to, and because it'll need to create the .ldb file from time to time).

Thanks Sub.

This is what I'm getting though when I run login.aspx(IUSR_PCNAME has full rights to gbpvr folder)....

Access to the path "C:\WINNT\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\04aa85bd\cc87fab2" is denied.

If I add full rights for IWAM_PCNAME to the temporary asp.net files folder, I get this....

Configuration Error
Description: An error occurred during the processing of a configuration file required to service this request. Please review the specific error details below and modify your configuration file appropriately.

Parser Error Message: File or assembly name NativeUtilities, or one of its dependencies, was not found.

The line highlighted is 258.

Line 258: <add assembly="*"/>
Line 259: </assemblies>
Line 260:

Maybe the .NET update broke these web scripts within IIS as well?

Sorry Dave, I dont know. I dont really run it via IIS, so arn't really familiar with the issues.

On a brighter note folks, my internal web server is now working. It turns out the Windows Update from the other day seemed to have turned on the Windows Firewall on my machine. Check yours in Control Panel -> Windows Firewall. I wouldnt have this would be the case, so I didnt even look there. I usually just have it disabled and run separate firewall software.

No problem. I don't think the problem with the internal server is windows firewall though as I'm on Windows 2000 which doesn't have it. I have IPSEC and TCP/IP filtering switched on, but I've always had those on anyway.

I don't have any firewall running plus when I do a netstat -a I see the computer listening on port 7647

The web server is definitely working in the current release. I've been able to confirm on a couple of machines now. You must have something else getting in the way.

Hi,

For me too, it's not possible to have a working webserver. I have XP SP2 without the internal firewall. I have this error :
Server Error in '/gbpvr' Application.
The resource cannot be found.

I use GB-pvr V0.90.7c.

Thanks for you.

bye

ludo, just looks like you went to the wrong URL. Try http://localhost:7647/gbpvr/index.aspx

I'm getting this exact same problem. I've checked that the firewall isn't blocking the port but still get :

[b Wrote:Quote[/b] ]Server Error in '/gbpvr' Application.

The resource cannot be found.
Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Any ideas?
