I was wondering when or if ever GBPVR runs a cleanup process on the Recordings folder. Seems that i have some Empty Folders for shows of which i have watched the recordings already and they no longer show in the recordings screen. But the directories are still there. Same goes for one directory where I think I rebooted the comp in mid record it has the txt files and a 40mb partial recording in it but no entry in the recordings menu of GBPVR. So my question is will GBPVR clean this up how often does it do it? Should I manuall clean this stuff out or write a script to run it for me? Will manually removing these empty folders or partial recordings that have no GBPVR entry affect how GBPVR runs? Thanks.

I found that the directories were deleted if I deleted the last recording in them with an MVP but not if I did the same with a client PC.
I go round getting rid of the empty directories "once in a while".

So in light of this little minor thing I wrote a script to be run with task scheduler. This will delete empty folders under the dir you specify so I am going to specify my directory for my recordings. You will need to open the script in notepad and change C:\GBPVR\RECORDINGS to point to your directory. My questions still stand though.

AFAIK gbpvr will not do a cleanup once a blank directory exists - if it doesn't clean up after deleting the last recording in there, then it stays.

So, to recover space and tidy things up it has to be a manual job.

So long as you don't remove the base gbpvr data directory, no harm is done. If you accidentally remove a recording or a directory full of them, then gbpvr will remove them from it's database unless a setting in config.xml is set (can't remember off hand the syntax) this can be a pain if data is stored on an external drive that happens to be powered off when booting up.

right that is why I created the script it cleans up 0kb folders in your recordings directory, automagically.
