Your problem will be different then, and most likely able to be solved with a change of video decoder.
If you reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs, then I'm happy to look into it.

Logs are attached. I started PVXX2 in analog. Switched to digital (QAM) with no problem. Switched back to an analog channel - locked up. Stopped PVRX2 with Task Manager. Zipped the logs.

I see you're still using the 'system default' decoder selection. This can be problematic for some users. What other video decoder options have you tried?

Now we are entering new ground for me. I'm guessing that since I have never loaded any other decoders, the default is all I have. I see in the wiki that there is a program that will check what decoders I have loaded. I'll check tonite when get home to see what I have on the system.
Any suggestions on which to try? I see from another post today on stutter.... you recommend an audio and video decoder. Is that a good place to start. Another way off subject question that another guy in the office just asked. Can you have more than 2 tuners in the system so that you can record 2 programs and watch a third at the same time. And can a 2 tuner system record to shows at the same time.

Just thought I'd post an update on my switching from analog to digital problem. I tried several decoders and settled on the MPV/MPA set. All I tried gave me a problem of one sort or another. The MPV/MPA still locks up but only switching from digital to analog about 1 out 4 times and only for about a minute. After the minute, the analog channel resumes. Not the greatest but, knowing what to expect and the picture quality, I can live with it.

Live preview mode is fine, but in timeshift going from digital to analog causes a black screen and if I try to do anything other than bring up the on screen display, it freezes the program. I tried that option, set it to true, but it didn't fix it. Is this still supported in 1.2.9? Thanks! |
