Program hangs when I exit TV/DVD or after Screensaver

Title basically says it all, program is not responsive if I try to escape/right click/exit from TV mode, DVD viewing or if the screensaver comes on. Makes the program very frustrating to use. I'm running a Hauppauge 350 on a more than adequate machine, which had worked well (except for not playing DVDs) until recently.
Since zap2it went down (jerks), I've signed up for Schedule Direct. I also troubleshot the DVD player functionality (turns out it was a faulty slave CD burner, whoda thunk) and installed xxxx.16.
I did remove all my other attempts at playing DVDs (various codecs and players), and reinstalled VLC (which works fine), and downloaded a free mpeg2 codec which appears to work fine (I can watch DVDs in GB-PVR again). I've tried running regular old GB-PVR, which still shows up in my start menu, and the newer PVRX2, with the same results. I have to three-key the application and restart it every time I want to watch something.

Anyone seen this behavior before? Took me a long time to figure out the DVD issue and I'm kinda tired of fighting with this thing atm.

Oh, and great program btw. I've actually tried a couple of the commercial software packages, and GB-PVR is my favorite so far.

Unfortunately most of those logs are missing the important info. Can you set the logging level to debug, and enable log flusing, then reproduce the problem then repost the logs?

Apparently watching recorded shows doesn't cause problems and the recording service can still function. In any case, here are the full debug logs.

Watched recorded Daily Show/Colbert Report

Flipped on random TV channel, then tried to exit to menu using the button on the Hauppauge remote (45 button).

Program hung and had to be ctrl-alt-del'd.

I'd put my audio renderer back to 'system default', and also try explicitly setting the audio/video decoder to somthing other than 'system default'. I'm pretty sure that will resolve it. If the first combination of audio/video decoder you produces the same behaviour, then try a different set.

Had to try a couple permutations, but it works now. Set all the audio decoders/renderers in the DVD and Playback section to System Default, and set the video decoder to Intervideo. Sys default and Cybervideo didn't work.
