I finally aquired a copy of mgpmux.ax version 5.0.0.727 - this alone has vastly improved things. I dropped the file into my windows\system32 directory, ran regsvr32 on the file and hey presto. Even Live TV works on the MVP (until the program finishes - but thats another post).
