I have had this issue in many builds on more than one PC.

I install the Cyberlink Mux (MpgMux_5.0.0.1307_.ax) on my PC, then try and record either Stratos or Parliament TV (both NZ satellite channels), they both end up with really choppy footage.

I deregister the Cyberlink mux and record in DVR-MS and the footage is generally perfect or close to it.

Has anyone got any ideas what this mux would do to cause this? I can live with the work around, but would prefer to use Cyberlink.

It's not the PC, as it's only using 10% CPU maximum. All other channels are fine.

Card: Hauppauge HVR3000 using DVB-S
CPU: Intel Quad Core Q6600

damn i was actually hoping it was my card but yours is different so there goes that plan

you know you dont have to deregister the mux to select dvr-ms one you can just select it in config then save

I havnt noticed this myself, though admittedly I dont watch or record much off stratos or parliament tv. Have you tried the ATI mux to see if it gives you the same problem?

Is it every recording on Stratos, or just some? I just tried a quick recording and it seems to be ok for me. Here is a one minute recording: http://www.gbpvr.com/STRATOS_20071119053900.mpg (34MB)

hmm, that seems to be perfect.

what mux were you using for that sub?

can one still use an ATI mux with a nVidia card? Where can i get that mux from?

I tried it using the mainconcept mux and it still did the same.

That was with the Cyberlink v5.0.1307 mux, but I also get a perfect recording from the ATI mux. You can get it from here: http://www.gbpvr.ynosgroup.com/ati-mux/

so you have 3 cables going to 3 cards so they can use either H or V is that the reason
