I've got a PVR500 (dual analog) and HVR1600 (1 analog, 1 ATSC) in my XP box, and all is well, except I have finally run into the issue I've dreaded most - I finally need to record three shows at once. Up until now, the PVR500 has done a fine job of handling two recordings when needed, but for some reason, when I now try to set up the third program, GBPVR basically tells me that I don't have a tuner available to use and that I have to cancel one of my other pending recordings to make one avaialble.

I KNOW I have a third tuner, darn it! Any ideas on how to make GBPVR realize that it has the third tuner available? I've checked and rechecked the config, and all appears to be correct - tuners showing and configurable, etc. Here's the setup:

WinXP Pro w/ All service packs and updates
PVR500 dual analog
HVR1600 Analog/ATSC
Direct recording plugin for all three analog tuners, BDA for the ATSC
GBPVR 1.0.16

Anyone have any ideas on how to proceed? I've run out of ideas, though that's not too hard nowadays... Big Grin

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Reproduce the problem then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Do you want me to just schedule the third recording, get the "Yes, we have no more tuners" prompt, then shut it down and send you the logs? Sorry, just haven't had to do this before, so don't know where the useful cutoff point is.

Yep, exactly. Also enable log flushing in the config app to make sure we get the complete logs.

Here you go, then. I loaded config, turned on the log file dump, started PVRX2, tried to add the program, got the denial, then shut PVRX2 down and zipped them up. Thanks again for the assist.

Unfortunately I cant tell from the logs. I cant even see the attempt to schedule the recording.

I'll need to look at your database. Zip and email me your gbpvr.db3 file. I'll PM you my email address.

Both of your PVR500 capture sources are set as device#1. One needs to be set as device #1, the other needs to be device #2,
