if you go update epg in the edit recording service window does it count down for each station
it will take a while i would say maybe you could deselect all but one station for testing that way you might find it shows up
or one of the ststions may be causing the epg to stop loading
(with dvbs its 60 seconds for each station im guessing yours will be the similar)

It gives me this window:

The text "Saving new listings and channel information" takes about 1 second to come up. Then after about 5 seconds the window disappears. There is no other change in the window, for example, going through each station.

If I untick some of the entries in the window "Edit Recording Source", then do "Update EPG", they are all ticked again.

One thing that may be relevant is that for certain channels, I can receive two different instances of them, with exactly the same name and content, but with different signal qualities (as reported by Hauppauge WinTV). GBPVR config does show two of some channel names in the right-hand channel listing, but they only appear once in the left-hand channel list (with the tick boxes). I was wondering if GBPVR was getting confused for this scenario.

Sorry for being dense, but is that the "Edit Recording Source" window or the "Digital Channel Mapping" window? (They both have lists of things which can be selected.)

No; I get the same error message that I get if I try to do Live TV.

Frustrating eh!?

Everything is right, and it should just work. How can it not work when it's clearly "all there" ? Smile

There is indeed a tab in config called "channels".

That has 3 columns and appears to list all of my channels with names, numbers, and they are all ticked.

Hmmm. It looks like the channels database is there, but GBPVR can't see it for some reason.

Tried "Run as administrator" on GBPVR, and we have some progress.

"Live TV" appears to work.
"TV Guide" begins to work. I get some of my channel names appearing, but no programme information, and GBPVR is then jammed.

Yes.

If I start PVRX2 from the Start menu, it doesn't work. Clicking "Live TV" doesn't do much.

But I just tried starting PVRX2 from the Tray icon, and running it that way, I can do "Live TV".

So it looks like there is a permissions issue on something, possibly just the channels database.

I should point out that my machine is part of a Windows Server domain. But my (domain) user has local administrator privileges, so everything should just work.
