First off, I'll be posting the logs later. I'm at work and didn't have time last night.

PVRX2 fse. By playing with different Audio & Video decoders /render's I can either get good vid but with the audio chopping about 22sec from start of Live Tv or good sound and vid chopping. CPU is about 19-25% With no apparent spikes around when the problem starts. Deinterlacing set to none. Tried passthru but no diffent. Recordings work fine. Also If I pause when the stuttering starts for about 5-10 sec and the contine playing, all works fine.

However, if I run GBPVR I can get perfect sound and vid. Did a one hour test, no prob.

BTW, I get the low signal popup on first start of Live TV in PVRX2, but not in GBPVR. I have the play all patch for some days ago. I beleive this should have the pop up stopper?

Depending on the combination of decoders you have one your machine, it may be too slow to create the directshow graph. If thats the case, then you might need to increase the value in the <NoSignalPopupDelay> setting in config.xml.

All I can suggest is choosing different decoders on the other problem.

I'm right in the process off going thru different decoders. Takes time. I installed the Cyberlink decoders that came with the Happ Nova card, they seem to give good results. I'm also using the Realtek97 audio renderer. I think I'm getting a bit of audio/vid sync, but that could be my "audio sync paranoia" !!!

I've upped the value to 7 on the no signal thingy. Afterall I'm running a phoenix card reader and mdplugins. Maybe things take a bit time to come thru?

Update, the decoders didn't work, choppy video after 7minutes :-( (audio ok)
I'v run all thevideo decoders I have are
ATI mpg
InterVideo Video Decoder
Intervideo Non CSS Vieio Decoder
Mpeg VideoDecoder
Cyberlink Video Decoder
System Default

Any suggestions to other I should try.??

Thnx

Multidec definitely adds a bit of extra startup time. You dont say, but I'm assuming 7 seconds fixed this problem?

No, not really. Maybe try installing the quartz.dll patch if you havnt already.

Sorry, 7 secs seemed to help.

witch quartz version should one have? Link??

I'll give it a go in a couple of days. My head hurts from getting the mutidec setup working (took me 5 days!) Now I'm depressed again as I'm having this problem Smile

I dont have a link for you, but if you search for quartz.dll you should find a couple of possible versions. Many people find they have to downgrade the DirectX v9.0C version they have installed, to the one that was included with 9.0B.

You may also find its the multidec stuff introducing your stuttering. Do you have the same problem on free to air unencrypted channels?

I've found the patch, so I give it a whirl. Also I'm going to try some other stuff. Just been reading up on others with the same prob. Don't think it is the multidec as it plays well in GBPVR.exe. I'll try some other channels and some FTA ones. I only have a couple of channels loaded up for testing.

Maybe also try descaler.

Anyway, Thanks as allways.

Tried pretty much everything, Purevideo decoders, dscaler, quartz.dll, Stil no luck in pvrx2. Works fine in GBPVR though.

I've tried again with ProgDVB, but I get the same choppy sound fading and the jerky video. The only difference is it takes 20 sec for the problem in pvrx2 and about1 min in ProgDVB. I've tried FTA channels, Same prob.

Now I'm lost. What does GB do differntly than pvrx2 etc ??

Any ideas?

If you set the GBPVR.exe video renderer option to VMR9 Custom, does it do the same thing?

Ok, just back from testing. VMR9, WMR9 Custom & WMR9 FSE all work perfectly with GBPVR.exe, Both FTA and encrypted.
