hi,

i have dual tuner setup - 1xpvr150MCE for cable box and 1xhvr1300 for DVB-T uk freeview.

problem 1 : when opening a pending recording (on either capture source) i get a black screen, no OSD but can press back and get to a menu.

problem 2 : if i'm recording from source1, then watch a channel on source2, then type a channel number corresponding to source1, i get black screen and no OSD and cannot do anything apart from end task (screenshot below)

appreciate any help. i plan to update the 150 for a 350 soon so will probably refresh the capture sources (when installing fresh O/S recently, i restored GBPVR using GBPVR.DB and CONFIG.XML files - old and new installs were 1.1.5 )

appreciate help

btw: changing the 150 for a 350 isn;t really an upgrade (unless you are after the fm tuner)

gEd - more hardware decoder...

sub - problem 1 now working fine, but problem 2 still apparent. would it be worth removing and re-adding capture sources?

thanks - appreciate help (and time)

Reproduce the problem then zip and attach the logs. Also post a commentary of what you didnt and what you saw.

ok - bit more info...

set recording on bbc1 (match of the day...) on tuner1 and tuned into a channel (via TV Guide) on tuner2.

press 1 on the remote (which corresponds to bbc1 on tuner1) and get black screen - nothing on screen BUT (what i just found out), if i press the i (more) button, i get the message "watch or don't watch" - only when i press this button though - have left the blank screen for over 15 mins with nothing happening.

if i press don't watch, it right aligns the menu as below...

i think my sources are a bit mixed up (not sure why) as sometimes entering channel number for tuner1 (DVB-T) sends a signal via REDEYE2.EXE to my cable box - even though the channel changers are set up correctly.

sub, if nothing obvious, don't look too much into it (and def don't spend much time) as next week, i'll remove both sources and add all the channels again Smile

cheers

The 350 hardware decoding is no longer supported in GBPVR, apprently it caused lots of lockups in users PCs. I guess thats what gEd was getting at - so it's a 150 with an unusable hardware decoder. (although you could try, you could be one of the lucky ones in whose PC it works)
