2 Dual Hauppauge Nova-T-500(4 tuners) - Source problem

Hi,

I have set a GBPVR server with 2 dual Nova-T-500 cards (i.e. 4 tuners).

Works fine when I set up Device 1 (card 1, tuners 1 & 2). As soon as I try and set Device 2 I am told it cant find the card, and I get an actual error when clicking ok.

I then had the thought that I may have set up tuner 1 on devices 1 & 2, or tuner 2 on device 1 and tuner 1 on device 2... and so on... but named them wrong. So I played around with that but whatever I did, device 2 simply is not found.

I know it's not the cards as I tried SageTV and it found them both fine.

Anyone have any ideas?

Did you set your fource capture sources as follows:

Hauppauge Nova-T-500 DVB-T (1), Device #1
Hauppauge Nova-T-500 DVB-T (2), Device #1
Hauppauge Nova-T-500 DVB-T (3), Device #1
Hauppauge Nova-T-500 DVB-T (4), Device #1

If so, then reproduce the problem then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

I have set them up like that, and they did not produce a problem, but devices 3 & 4 did not find any channels.

will do. thanks. Quick question... is it necessary to scan on every device, or is there a way to scan on 1 device and reuse?

You need to scan on each device.

scanning takes a long time, so the logs will have to be tomorrow as it is very late here. thanks again.

I seem unable to attach the logs, even when I split them into smaller files. not that a single file is big; less than 300KB.

Any other way I can get them to you?

If you zip them they should attach fine.
