The control keys when playing back a video (as opposed to a recording) don't appear to work - can't pause, skip or exit

i'll just quote sub - enable debuging and turn on flushing then post your logs so that someone can advise - but CTRL+Q and CTRL+P work for me ok.

Are you using the Divx codec for videos? If so, it has a small applet that steals the keyboard focus during playback. If this is the case, you can either switch to the Xvid codec (which I did) or search the forums (I know I have seen it before) for a way to disable the Divx applet.

Yes I am using the DivX codec - will check that.

Odd there was no issue with GBPVR though

Its a well known problem with divx decoder, and effects lots of apps. You can find discussion on the divx forums about this annoying behaviour.

I uninstalled DivX, installed Xvid - worked fine, thanks guys.
