Couple of quick questions

I have finally given up on BeyondTV working under Vista64 (I am just having too many problems) and decided to switch back over to GBPVR which I have been away from for awhile. I am in the US using SchedulesDirect on the AverMedia M780.

I saw the post about getting the QAM tuner to work but there was a note about "Have the BDA scan for channels" but I don't see a way to do that. Where is that option?

Also is there a way to only record new episodes of a show? Is that what "all episodes on this channel" is for?

The scan happens when you hit the 'map digital channels to epg channels' button.

Also is there a way to only record new episodes of a show?

Not really. This info isnt available for the majority of users spread around the globe, and not here in New Zealand, so I'm reluctant to builde functionality that depends on this info.

You can do a timeslot recording if you know the current series airs on a particular day of the week etc. Also, the 'dont record duplicates' setting in the config.xml can help make sure you're not getting the same shows recorded over and over...

Great, thanks for the information. Now I just have to figure out why I keep getting an error when trying to access the QAM tuner in my Avertv M780 card.

Thats odd...I told it to upload the files. I will do it tonight then and then verify that it actually did what it said...

You probably tried to upload something other than a zip file and you overlooked the error telling you it couldnt attach that file type.

It was a .rar file so yeah, that was probably what happened.

So does anybody know of a free zip client? I seem to only have rar software installed.
