I experienced similar a while back with mulitiple instances. Sub posted a test PVRX2 which gave a message about what was being started.

Funny thing was I ran this once then went back to the old version, multiple instances solved. Never could get it to repost in front of other windows though.

I have both GBPVRTray and PVRX2 in the startup Start menu. If I remove them nothing happens - ie there is no other "hidden" startup. if I paste the skortcuts back, reboot and then I have double tray processes and double PVRX2 processes.

If I use these shortcuts to manually launch the tools, they come up with single processes.

I'm running PVRX2/GB-PVR 1.1.5.

I'm pretty sure that you're telling the system to start up the app twice. Try removing PVRX2 from your startup menu. GBPVRTray starts PVRX2 for you.

Sorry, GBPVRTray does not automatically launch PVRX2. But it does launch double processes.
I'll take a look into the thread mentioned above instead.

Installed the message patch vversion of PVRX2 supplied in the thread above, and it partly resolved my problem, PVRX2 now only starts one session, but the tray is hit twice...

As I understand that thread, there are cases when the registry is not updatad properly, and that results in double sessions.
