Did anyone find a solution to this? Getting the same problem having just tried hibernator for the first time today.

Sub - wondering if this is something you can answer. Is there a way to have a windows based screensaver (which is how hibernator functions) kick in when GB-PVR is running but idling?

Have tried turning off GB-PVR's built in screen saver but that doesn't seem to make any difference.

If you disable GB-PVR's screen saver then the Windows screen saver should be free to kick in when the machine is not in use. Otherwise GB-PVR stops the Windows screen saver from running.

Not for me. My windows power mgmt settings seem to work "most" of the time for standby but I've set it to 10 mins and hibernator at 5 mins so I know the former is the one that's working and not the latter as it never goes into standby until the 10mins are up.

nbarsley Wrote:Ok so I found a lame workaround to the problem.

I created a scheduled task to wake from hibernate m-f from 5pm-11:30pm (as I work during the day). It closes gbpvr at 11:30 so hibernator can start working again.

But I couldnt get scheduled tasks to run when the computor wakes (when I actually press the power button). So I set up a batch script that will be run by Hibernator when the computer wakes. The batch file works in the background and opens gbpvr, waits for 3 hours and then closes gbpvr, allowing hibernator to start working again.

Its lame because there is a set amount of time before gbpvr closes automatically. I need to set up a message prompt when gbpvr is about to close... but I dont know how to do that.

What did you do to shut gbpvr down each night? Did you use a kill or did you find a nice way to shut it down?

alt-F4 keys should do a nice shutdown of gbpvr....seems to do so for me...

also, might want to try disabling all plugins...they might be keeping pvrx2 active and keeping it awake...

my screensaver works fine...a little too fine..:
Quote:whoooa, win screensaver is weird [Beziers]...they should be glad it DOesn't come up, i can't get it to go away! lol i'm on main menu and going up n down it shows screensaver while i do it! one hit up and it comes on, another hit it goes off...
almost like the menu fades are letting it show thru....weird..
it shows everytime when a fade is happening...
sometimes it stays onscreen when i stop...sometimes not...
i usually just 'poweroff' my screen so i don't have these problems...
[even made a menu item to do it]

It was more the get gbpvr to shut down at a certain time. But I've told the wife to try and exit gbpvr as much as possible so that it can enabled the screen saver to kick off.
