I had to do a clean install of GBPVR as everything went a bit haywire while setting up my dvb card. It's been a while but everything installed ok. However I'm having a prob with both config and Live TV crashing (Microsoft is sorry bla bla bla) when I have multidec on in misc tab. I have registered the mdapifilter.ax again and have copied over the needed plugin.

All channels scan fine. I must be doing something wrong with the mdapifilter.?

I had the same similar problem. The problem turned out to be the version of mdapi.ax I downloaded from from the gbpvr site. Argawal's version from DVBN (original) works properly.

The version on the gbpvr site is Argawal's original one. He has release several versions though, so its possible whichever one you're currently using behaves better with the Multidec plugins you're using.

Thanks, I'll try some different ones later tonight. If no go, Ill post logs.

Do I have to de-register before registering a different mdapi version? If so, how?

BTW im using Y***se plugin if this helps

Some of the versions changed the internal filter name so you do need to deregister/reregister.

regsvr32 /u c:\path\to\oldmdapfilter.ax
regsvr32 c:\path\to\mdapifilter.ax

You are right, the one I found on the DVBN site is from 06 and works. The one linked in the MDPlugins folder readme is from 07 and doesn't work!

So now I'm back and testing to get everything right. More questions will follow as I have to get subtitles working in certain channels. Discovery has 4 channels here, Norway (where I'm based) Sweden, Denmark & Finland. All except Norway show the subtitles in their streams. I've tried the subtitles option in config but no go. Maybe I have to edit the cache file?

Anyway, thanks again for the help!
