picture in graphic?

Hi!

When i click the "info" button on my report I see nice "Video in graphic" menu's and I really enjoy this. I only get sound in tvguide and I am wondering if there is an option to show a small video window in the guide or is this something that is undeveloped at the moment?

Or do I need to change graphic settings?

I couldnt find anywhere convenient to put it in the tv guide screen, so I didnt bother showing it on that screen in the default blue skin. You can easily add it by defining the inset placement in the skin files.

I just been driving myself insane looking and reading about slins and skin editor and I'm about to kick my LCD in and throw my keyboard out the window... hehe

When I load the default blue skin in the skin editor I get nothing but unpleasantness and sadness.

Here is what I get when I open the baseskin in skin editor and really i cannot figure anything out noir does anything seem to change or look different.

Is there an application that I can find to make it easier to do? or is something wrong with the skin editor and I need to do something to make it work?

I would love to get into some skin designs if I can cut and paste things around

I just installed a skin plugin that looks like an editor of the community skin so I will gove that a go later tonight after I get back from all holiday stuff

My guess is the skin editor program is not supported for 1.0.x. I did try using in back in the 98.x days, but never got very good results.

I think most folks simply build their skins from scratch or cloning a similar skin.

Yeah I think that skin editor utility was very old and not designed to work with the post-1.0 skins.

You'd need to edit the "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\skin2\blue\TV Guide\skin.xml" file and add a line like below in the <Placements> section, and adjust the values so it is shown in an appropriate place.

I checked it here using the placement I described above and found you're correct it wasnt working. There was a small bug stopping it happening. I've corrected it for the next release.

Hi,

I noticed that some plugins have the tv sound and no picture in graph and I was wondering how can I do this to a plugin?

rss reader and live webcam somehow removes the video in graph but leaves the sound playing.

to enlighten you on what I am trying to do....

I use the plugin searchwiz a lot to schedule recordings days in advance and spend an hour or two there scheduling the next couple days. I cannot use the live view as the video takes up the whole area... see link.

this is the exact video size used in the recordings menu and is the perfect size for the searchwiz...

any tips?

sorry if I am not clear... trying hard to explain what it is I am trying to do.

listening to at least the sound while seaching would be much better than no sound for hours hehe
