after switching to .ts for the digital shows, my HD enjoyment has gone up considerably.

only thing that I need to figure out is how to delete the .ts files after I watch them.
after watching one of them, I can choose delete, then everything freezes for 2 seconds (just like any other time you choose delete), but when it comes back, the listing is still there. I also cant delete them from video library.

however, I can easily delete them after a reboot.

is something still accessing the file until reboot??
is there a way to force it to quit??

using nvidia purevideo.

Do you know what .ts source filter you've installed? (usually either HDTV Pump or Haali media splitter)

I suspect its holding onto the file somehow.

I just looked to see if there was an update, and it was last updated in 2005

should I try the other one??

I'll put it on my list of things to test when I get a chance.

You could try setting <ForcedGraphTeardown>true</ForcedGraphTeardown> in config.xml to see if it makes any difference.

nope, still cant delete without reboot.

I am dealing with it for now.
I currently delete watched shows the next day.

what surprises me is nobody else has said they have this problem.
could it be because I use client-server??
or because of something odd with my machine??

ps--
client must be shut down to be able to delete off server.

okay, more info on this.
video got very unreliable, and while trying to figure that out, I switched to a different video decoder.
suddenly I can delete the files immediatly after viewing them.
could it be purevideo's fault??
