In the release info and a post in the forum it said that the piority is decided by which order the recordings appear in. But that does not seem to be working for me. I have the 2 feocurring recordings - the first recording in the guide as Pimienta going from 8pm to 9pm with 3 minutes of padding and then the next recording as Vida Loca going from 9pm to 10pm.
The problem is that the first recording always stops at 9pm so the 2nd recording can start.

By default, padding is ignored if two shows run back to back and you only have a single tuner.

One of subs answers Wink

Do you have this patch installed: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...ostcount=6

Also, make sure you have the following in config.xml:

<PreferAlternatingCaptureSources>false</PreferAlternatingCaptureSources>
<TryToHonourPaddingIfPossible>true</TryToHonourPaddingIfPossible>

Thanks so much.

Do I have to put it in a specific location in the file? It does not exist there currently

The settings should be there already. If not, then zip and attach the config.xml and I'll look at it.

Sorry. Found it in the config. I applied the patch by stoping the service, renaming the current 2 files and replacing with the ones from the patch zip and then restarting the service. When the recordings ran several hours later they still ended on the hour and not 2 minutes later per the padding. Here is the config

Do you have multiple capture sources with those channels? If not, then stopping on the hour and not apply padding is the correct behaviour.

Thats the correct behaviour then. Padding is always consider optional on back to back recordings involving the same tuner. (ie, no post-padding applied to the first recording, no pre-padding applied to the second recording)

The priority stuff you mentioned in the first post has nothing to do with padding. It only relates to the order recordings are schedule, which in turn determines which of two recordings would be marked as a 'conflict' (and not recorded at all) if two recordings were at the same time.

I see. Is there anyway to resolve the passing issue? I have 2 tuners and both record internationational programming and both have the same problems. ALL the programs run 2-25 minutes late and it is not predictable.
